Position Summary: The Parent2Parent Support Network program is a peer-based model therefore we are looking for a dynamic, self-motivated individual with experience with adoption, kinship or customary care parenting and advocating for access to services to meet their children’s unique needs. The individual will be interested in working collaboratively with families and system partners to build a network of diverse and culturally appropriate resources and service providers within the Hamilton/Central region to support families on their parenting journey. As well, recognizing the disproportionate number of racialized and LGBTQ2S+ children and youth in child welfare in Hamilton/Central, connection to the Black, FNMI or LGBTQ2S+ communities in Hamilton/Central will be considered an asset.

Hours: 10 hours/week
