You are invited to a pre-screening of Paramount Pictures' Instant Family! As a story about a family who adopted three children from foster care, the film was previewed at the NACAC Conference this summer and again a few weeks ago by some staff, parents and youth from our community. The movie is a comedy and many may identify with this family's adoption journey and experiences as new parents of an 'instant family'. The story highlights the value of peer support, helping parents understand their children's behaviours are normal in the circumstances, providing encouragement and reducing the isolation.

Officially in theatres November 16, 2018.
When Pete (Mark Wahlberg) and Ellie (Rose Byrne) decide to start a family, they stumble into the world of foster care adoption. They hope to take in one small child but when they meet three siblings, including a rebellious 15-year-old girl (Isabela Moner), they find themselves speeding from zero to three kids overnight. Now, Pete and Ellie must hilariously try to learn the ropes of instant parenthood in the hopes of becoming a family. INSTANT FAMILY is inspired by the real events from the life of writer/director Sean Anders, also starring Octavia Spencer, Tig Notaro and Margo Martindale.
